
We make aged nocino with walnuts from our farm.
Walnuts are picked when still green at the beginning of the summer, traditionally during summer solstice which is also the feast of St. John (June 24th), and then soaked in alcohol.
The recipe’s simplicity is typical of this strong and full-bodied nocino.
Serving suggestion: best at the end of a meal as a digestive. Excellent with ice cream, cream, etc.
